This is the third-go for my blog. Most likely this will also be the last.

I first started off blogging on blogspot/blogger as a student at Fresno
State. I don’t even remember or know whether those sites still exist. It’s been ages. Later at the urging of a expatriate, now Chilango, blogger I moved on to WordPress where my first site was the self-titled gustavorojo dot com. That lasted for quite a bit. I finally had to lose the name due to the nature of my work. The second site went by the name undertheredsky dot net. Obviously, Under the Red Sky is the name of a Bob Dylan song that really means nothing to me other than the fact that Red is used in the title. After a long hiatus and the need for change I got rid of the undertheredsky name and after much thought I came up with the current site name dia8avo. Dia8avo is not a reference to religion at all. I’ll admit that I love the Shakira Mebarak song by the same name but that’s not why I named it this either. It’s actually a combination of things. A nickname of mine is in the title and more importantly, it’s the day my daughter was born.

We shall have to see how long this lasts.
